Terms & conditions
Sutura Wellness Clinic – Terms & Conditions
1. Booking Appointments
Appointments may be booked online, by telephone or via any approved booking platform.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
2. Deposits
The 50% deposit is non-refundable if you choose to cancel your appointment.
Where sufficient notice is given (see Section 3), the deposit may be transferred to one future appointment at the discretion of Sutura Wellness Clinic.
The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your appointment.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made 48 hours or more before your appointment may have the deposit transferred to a new appointment.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment will result in the full appointment fee becoming payable, including where only the deposit has already been paid.
Failure to attend your appointment without notice (“no-show”) will also result in the full appointment fee being charged.
4. Appointment Duration
The duration of your appointment includes all aspects of your consultation, including taking your medical history, assessment, physical examination, explanation of findings, treatment, rehabilitation advice, exercise prescription, education and any questions you may have.
For example, if you book a 60-minute appointment, the entire consultation and treatment will take place within those 60 minutes. Additional consultation time will reduce the amount of time available for hands-on treatment.
If your condition is particularly complex or requires additional discussion, the practitioner may recommend booking a longer appointment or arranging a follow-up consultation.
5. Late Arrival
If you arrive late, your appointment may need to be shortened to avoid delaying other patients. The full appointment fee will still apply.
If you arrive so late that treatment cannot be provided safely or effectively, the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation and the full appointment fee will remain payable.
6. Suitability for Treatment
Patient safety is our highest priority.
Every patient will undergo an appropriate assessment before treatment. Treatment will only be provided where it is considered safe, appropriate and clinically indicated.
Sutura Wellness Clinic reserves the right to refuse, postpone, modify or discontinue treatment where:
Treatment is not clinically appropriate.
There are medical contraindications.
Further medical investigation or referral is required.
The patient has not provided accurate or complete medical information.
Treatment cannot be carried out safely for any reason.
Where treatment is not appropriate, the practitioner will explain the reasons and, where possible, recommend alternative treatment options or an appropriate healthcare professional.
7. Manual Handling & Patient Safety
To protect the safety of both patients and the practitioner, some manual therapy techniques require physical handling, repositioning and movement of the patient’s body.
Treatment will only be provided where it can be carried out safely and effectively.
The practitioner reserves the right to modify treatment techniques, decline treatment or refer a patient elsewhere where, in the practitioner’s professional judgement, treatment cannot be delivered safely due to factors including, but not limited to:
Body size or body weight.
Reduced mobility or inability to reposition independently.
Physical limitations affecting safe manual handling.
Any other health and safety considerations.
Where appropriate, alternative treatment options or referrals will be discussed with the patient.
8. Medical Information
Patients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding their medical history, current medications, allergies, pregnancy status and any changes to their health.
Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the safety and effectiveness of treatment.
9. Consent
Treatment will only be provided with the patient’s informed consent.
Patients have the right to ask questions about their treatment and may withdraw their consent at any time before or during treatment.
10. Children & Young Persons
At this time, Sutura Wellness Clinic does not provide assessment or treatment for children under the age of 16 years.
Patients aged 16 or 17 years may be assessed and treated only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
A parent or legal guardian must:
Provide consent before the appointment.
Attend the initial appointment.
Be available during the appointment if requested by the practitioner.
The practitioner reserves the right to require a parent or legal guardian to remain present throughout the consultation and treatment where considered appropriate for safeguarding, communication or clinical reasons.
Sutura Wellness Clinic reserves the right to postpone or cancel an appointment if appropriate consent has not been obtained or where safeguarding concerns arise.
11. Fees
Current treatment fees are displayed on our website and booking system and may be updated from time to time without prior notice.
Any outstanding balance must be paid immediately following your appointment using one of the accepted payment methods.
12. Refunds
Treatment fees are non-refundable once treatment has been provided.
Deposits are non-refundable except where otherwise stated in these Terms & Conditions.
13. Liability
Whilst every effort is made to provide safe, evidence-based and effective care, no treatment can guarantee a specific outcome or result.
Sutura Wellness Clinic shall not be liable for any loss or damage except where required by law.
14. Changes to These Terms & Conditions
Sutura Wellness Clinic reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website and will apply to all future bookings.
